Are you ready to “Carry the Message”?

Our Mission: As a Committee, our purpose is to carry the message to sex and love addicts who are unable to attend regular meetings due to ongoing treatment or incarceration, with the hopes and prayers that recovery can make a difference in their lives.

Who is qualified to be of service to the H&I Committee?

There are no qualifications to serve on the H&I Committee. To be on H&I panels and lead in-house meetings some institutions may require background checks or time in recovery or sobriety to participate.  As a committee we will find opportunities for all fellows to carry the message.

If you are interested in being on a panel or finding out more please email the H&I Committee.

I'm an H&I Rep at my meeting, what am I supposed to say?

"H&I stands for hospitals and institutions; We bring the message to people who don't have access to regular meetings. There are currently two panels being offered: One at Tarzana Treatment Center which includes two speakers of mixed genders, and one at Seeking Integrity which includes one speaker who identifies as a man.

Anyone interested in sharing their experience, strength, and hope on an H&I panel can speak to me after the meeting. Additionally, if anyone has suggestions for institutions that might welcome an SLAA meeting panel, please let me know! Thank you for letting me be of service."

Email contact with any questions:
h-and-i@slaalosangeles.org

***There is no sobriety requirement to speak on a panel; speakers are selected at the discretion of panel facilitators.***

Don't have an H&I Rep at your favorite meeting?

Anybody at a meeting can make a motion to add an H&I service rep position if there isn't one,  it's a very simple commitment which just entails reading the message above.

We are fully self supporting declining outside contributions.
All donations support the intergroup's continued mission to carry the message of the 12 steps of SLAA to those who still suffer.
