WORKSHOP: OBSESSION

• This workshop will focus on obsessions of all kinds, their impact on us, and ways to surrender them.

• There will be three speakers on three critical topics relevant to obsession and recovery.

• Each speaker will be followed by small group Sharing

  
  

Many of us found that our preoccupation with sex and romance, or with another person, or sexual release, was fun at first. But what we had failed to realize was that at some point these fixations took on a life of their own and began to control us. No matter how painful our lives had become we didn't know our brains were stuck and we couldn't free ourselves.

Even resentments (no matter how justified) could seize our minds and make our lives miserable.

**St. Basils Catholic Church is located on the north side of Wilshire Boulevard, between Harvard Boulevard and Kingsley Drive. The church is five blocks east of Western Avenue. Enter the parking lot from Harvard Boulevard. Parking is free. Mcintyre Hall is located at the north end of the parking lot, in the church basement. Unfortunately access to McIntyre Hall is not handicap friendly. There is a Starbucks several blocks west of the church and an Alfred's Coffee two blocks east.
