Our annual retreat at the beautiful Serra Retreat Center, nestled in the foothills of the Santa Monica Mountains with breathtaking views of the Pacific Ocean. Surrounded by peaceful gardens and fountains, this retreat is the perfect setting to recharge and recommit to recovery.

Dates & Pricing:

  • Before Nov 1: $280 shared / $340 single

  • After Nov 1: $300 shared / $360 single

    (includes room, linens, activities, and meals from Friday dinner to Sunday lunch)

  • Serves as fundraiser for the Los Angeles Intergroup.

  • No refunds or scholarships. If you can’t attend, please find a replacement and email workshops-retreats@slaalosangeles.org 

  • COVID requirements are currently lifted but may change; updates will be shared with all registrants.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS


1. Can I bring my pet? 

a. Serra Retreat Center allows for service animals but strongly suggests you leave them at

    home. 

2. Can I register with a friend/partner/parent who is not a member of SLAA? 

a. Only members of SLAA can register and attend the retreat. 

3. Can I commute back and forth from my home and receive a reduced rate? 

a. No, you can commute but it’s the same fee as the entire retreat. 

4. Can I have a private room with a private bathroom? 

a. You’ll have to pay more for a private room but all bathrooms are shared with an

    adjoining room.  Reminder: this is a retreat center so accommodations are modest. 

5. Can I come for one day only and just pay for that day? 

a. No – the retreat was designed as a three-day experience. 

6. Can I bring my own food?

 a. Yes, there’s a refrigerator there for people who have special diets. 

 b. The menu is not specifically vegan or vegetarian but there’s a salad bar and plenty of 

     vegetable at both lunch and dinner. 

7. Do I receive a reduced rate if I bring my own food?

  a. No, the retreat fee is all inclusive even if you bring your own food. 

8. Are their scholarships? 

a. No, any money we have left over is sent to SLAA Los Angeles Intergroup

9. Can I just come to the meetings and not stay or have meals at the retreat center?

  a. If you pay the entire fee you can, but a big part of the retreat is living and having meals

   together for several days.

10. Do I need to bring my own linens? My own soap and shampoo? 

a. Serra Retreat Center provides all linens but some people bring their own pillow. 

b. Serra Retreat Center provides a very small bar of soap to each person so take that into 

    consideration when you’re packing. 

11. If Serra Retreat Center has to cancel our retreat for some reason will I get a full refund? 

a. Yes, we’ll write refund checks as soon as possible.
