2012 Annual Business Conference/Meeting (ABC/M) of the Augustine Fellowship, S.L.A.A. and F.W.S.

What is the Annual Business Meeting/Conference (ABC/M)?

There's a story about a sex and love addict attending his first ever Annual Business Conference/Meeting (ABC/M) and upon walking into the general meeting, felt everyone's recovery and love so strongly that it touched him very deeply, profoundly changing the spiritual quality of his recovery. He reminds S.L.A.A. members that just being grateful, saying "I love S.L.A.A.", is no longer enough. Now, he says that his words and actions match. He used to talk-the-talk then, after attending that ABC/M, he now walks-the-walk. He will probably be at the ABC/M this year and he invites all of you to walk-the-walk in San Diego. Everyone is welcomed to attend.

Delegates and non-Delegate members of S.L.A.A. meet once a year at the ABC/M to conduct the business of the Fellowship.

There is valuable information about the ABC/M in the Conference Service Manual (CSM). It is highly recommended advance reading for anyone who attends the ABC/M. A wealth of information has been compiled over the years to help people understand the use of words like "spiritual reminder" and acronyms such as BMIS (Business Item Meeting Summary). The front part of the CSM is a good starting point.

Any Intergroup, any collection of 2 or more S.L.A.A. meetings in the same locality may be represented by one or more Delegates at the Conference. If your Intergroup or area does not have a Delegate, bring it up a meeting, volunteer, and attend the ABC/M. Attending the ABC/M can give you an opportunity to get involved in service at the Fellowship-Wide Services level

Besides conducting business, being present at the ABC/M also means meeting other members of S.L.A.A., an opportunity to make new friends with common interests and have a great time.
